Physical Therapy
Physical therapy is a health care specialty involved with evaluating and treating disorders of the musculoskeletal system. The ultimate goal of physical therapy is to restore functional independence and decrease discomfort to each individual patient. Patients will be evaluated by a registered physical therapist who will devise an in-depth program that may include modalities such as heat, cold, electric stimulation and ultrasound as well as exercise to improve range of motion, flexibility and strength. The patient will receive instruction in a home exercise program, to emphasize flexibility, strengthening and aerobic conditioning.
Our on-site physical therapy not only gives our patients a convenient location for proper conditioning and training but allows the therapists and physicians to have easy access to the each other to oversee a patient's care. We pride ourselves on having a state of the art facility with all of the latest equipment to assist you with a speedy recovery.
Our therapists have experience treating patients of all ages with all types of injuries. Whether you are an athlete, a weekend warrior or a senior citizen, we understand the importance of helping you get back to your normal routine.
Living and working in Plantation allows Donna and Mindy to have the satisfaction of seeing their patients around the city as they return to their regular work and sports activities.
Donna reflects on a recent patient that inspired her.
I treated this gentleman that was 97 years old and had a bad stroke and only spoke Italian. When I worked with him, he would try so hard to do whatever I asked. He knew he was going to a nursing home if he didn’t get better. Despite his age, language barriers, and severe physical limitations, he would work so hard. He was such an inspiration and taught me so much about the concept of age and our definition of elderly.
