Mindy Scheinberg PT/MS is a graduate of Springfield College School of Health Sciences with a dual Bachelor of Science degree and Psychology in 1987 and graduated from Touro College with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 1990. Mindy Participated in various internships while at Touro including working at Kessler Institute as part of here educational requirements for her Master’s Degree. Upon graduating, Mindy focused her professional career in the dynamic and evolving fields of sports-medicine and orthopaedics.
She worked on the physical rehabilitation of a variety of professional and amateur athletes with all types of injuries and surgical interventions and has had great success returning them to competitive sports. During her 22 years of working in the field of sports medicine, Mindy has stayed current in evolving treatments including specialized training in 2010 teaching “Kinesiotaping.” This modality is recognized as a successful treatment technique and was used in the 2012 Olympics, Mindy was the forefront of using this treatment, and has continued to embrace opportunities to learn and utilize all of the state- of-the-art rehabilitation techniques focused on improving patient therapy and their successful outcomes.
Donna graduated from the University of Massachusetts, School of Physical Therapy in 1987. She continued her studies under Stanley Paris through the Institute of Physical Arts, and pursued training biomechanics of the feet and was trained in the casting of custom orthotics and braces. After observing competitive athletes, Donna developed an interest in Kinesiotaping and pursued training in the utilization and application of the technique in 2010.
Over the past 25 years, Donna has worked with patients of all ages and skill levels from student athletes to professional athletes, from weekend warriors to working warriors, surgical and non-surgical patients utilizing her skills to provide a favorable experience for each patient. She continues to seek new opportunities to enhance her rehabilitation skills and knowledge to ensure successful outcomes for all patients.
Laura Severance graduated from Florida International University in 1987 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy . Laura continued her education and received a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology in 1994. In 2010, she received certification in the Graston Technique– a patented instrument- assisted procedure and technique to diagnose and treat soft tissue dysfunction. Laura has spent her entire career treating sports and orthopaedic patients and is an avid tennis and sports enthusiast herself.
Evelyn Ardon, PT, DPT, CKTP
Evelyn Ardon is the lead Physical Therapist at our Miami Lakes facility. She is a graduate of Florida International University, where she earned her Bachelors of Health Science degree and her Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
Dr. Ardon is well versed in all aspects of physical therapy practice with experience in acute/ inpatient hospital settings, wound care, stroke rehabilitation, as well as outpatient orthopedic related injuries.
Desiring to provide the highest quality patient care, Evelyn continuously works on enhancing her knowledge by participating in formal education and continuing education courses. She has received training and holds certifications in Kinesio Tape (CKTP) and is a Graston Technique provider. In addition, she is currently working towards pursing her Certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT) with The Ola Grimbsy Institute in order to further enhance her specialization in manual therapy techniques.
Outside of work, Evelyn spends time with her spouse, Daniel and their two children, Jayden and Emma. She is involved with her son’s sporting activities and enjoys running.
