Dr. Joel Salamon graduated from the University of Chicago and received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He completed his internship and anesthesia residency at the John Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Salamon then received his fellowship training in pain management at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Dr. Salamon is board certified in anesthesiology with a subspecialty certification in pain management. He is also board certified in pain management by the American Board of Pain Medicine. In 2004 and 2006, Dr. Salamon was nominated for the Florida Choice Award, recognizing excellence in workers’ compensation medical care.
Dr. Salamon is well-versed in the full range of pain management care. He specializes in interventional procedures, including epidural steroid injections, facet injections, sympathetic blocks, radiofrequency/neuroablative procedures, and intradiscal procedures. Dr. Salamon has a special interest in spinal cord stimulation and intrathecal drug delivery, and he has served as an instructor for the Medtronic Corporation to teach these procedures to other physicians.
